Massey harris no.33 horse drawn sickle mower good to go

I do still have a couple interested party's and a couple friends that are going to spread the word around it as well, so it is still for sale locally as well as on here. If I get two identical offers, a Live Offer will take it over an online offer due to the fact that if I sell it locally and pull the listing there would be no commissions to pay. A slightly lower Live Offer may still win it depending on how it stacks up to the commissions. Friends made me a CASH offer on it last year if I don't sell it on here, and their offer is what I set my Lowest Acceptable Offer at, so any lowball offers will Automatically be rejected through the filter system.
Vintage Antique Horse Drawn MASSEY - HARRIS No. 33 ground driven Sickle Mower !
Looks to be ready to go to work mowing hay or grass along the road or in the field or calf pasture.
Steel Double Tree Hitch on long wooden tongue. Enclosed Oil Bath gearing keeps the weeds out of the gears that can be problematic with open gear models. Previous owner replaced all of the sickle teeth, guides, and related hardware, teeth are nice and sharp and ready to go. May want to dull them up some if you were going to use it as a lawn ornament in front of a barn , log cabin , or other rustic home.
There are still traces of paint where it was covered by grease and oil earlier in life, with the majority of it having the nicely rusted or aged patina to it. New guide bars on the blade kind of stand out with bright green paint on them and black paint on some smaller clamps on the bar. I don't know if they were a 'universal' replacement made to fit a variety of makes and models, or if the entire bar assembly may have been swapped onto it from a different brand ??? There were on it when I bought it.
I pulled it around the yard with the garden tractor years ago when I got it and everything seemed to work OK then, but I never tried mowing with it myself as I was alone at the time and couldn't be on the tractor and mower at the same time. I highly doubt the previous owner would have invested the time and money on the bar if the rest of it had any problems, so it should be a good working unit. I used to have a coworker that wanted to rent it from me, but I have since lost that job and never got his number or address, and have no way of contacting him anymore.
please also checkout my other listings as I get time to photograph, edit pictures for listing, and list them. Never know what I will put on here next.
