Smoky Glass, Black in Color, Dish/Plate, Measuring Approximately 8-1/2 X 6-3/4", With Gold-Tone Lettering and an Illustration of a building: Elgin-Macor, Inc. "The House of Glass" and Building Products, Elgin, Illinois.
The Piece also gives the address of Elgin-Macor, along with phone numbers for both Elgin, Illinois and Chicago, Illinois.
Above the Building is a Logo for and Lettering of Bienenfeld Glass Corporation.
Please Note that the Glass of this Piece looks more like the image in Photo #1, but is a darker black color. I have included the second photo for reference. Being the Piece is all Glass, it was hard to photograph.
I do not know any history behind this piece other than I "spotted" and purchased it an Estate Sale a few years back for my Dad, Christian Kraus, who used to work for Bienenfeld Glass.
Nice Collectible. This is a Nice and Clean Piece With Only Minor Nicks or Scratches Noted to to the Glass and/or Gold-Tone Embellishments.
