This compressor was run by a utility company for air breaker operation at 3700 PSI, not the max rating of 5000 PSI. They were maintained to factory specs due to their critical use. An auxiliary oil tank was used to increase oil availability to compressor. Two compressors were used for each system, alternating duty. This compressor may include controls for its use as part of the dual compressor system which may have to be bypassed or eliminated for use as a signal compressor. There is no motor starter. The compressor turns freely. The cabinet is made of heavy sheet metal and is insulated, although some of the insulation is releasing from the walls. These compressors are also used to fill diving tanks or paint ball cylinders. For breathing air, a filtration system must be added.
