We disconnected the sorter, and continued testing the copier itself. The unit gave us the "Ready to Copy" message, so we attempted to make a normal 8.5x11. At this point, the unit errored, and said there that the second tray (where the 8.5x11 is held) is dead. We selected 8x14, and then we were able to make a copy of our generic test sheet. The copy produced was flawless (just the wrong size). We then used the ADF in conjunction with the duplexer to make a double sided copy, which was also produced without any problems.
