The motor has a diameter of 4 inches and a length of 3.5 inches. The three mounting holes seem to be on a 5.5 inch diameter. The shaft is 5/16 in diameter and is flat on both sides. The photos below show this quite well. I tested a random motor and it ran just fine.
These motors are originally designed for an automotive application. In fact they are still useful to fix you car if that is what you need. They are made by AC Delco and could be replace of the following part numbers: 52499917,15-8847,ACD15-8847. My research indicates that they may fit a 1994 Mercury Sable. They probably fit other vehicles as well. I found the price of $105 each online.
