Working with JacPac C02 cylinders.
C02 is very safe when used responsibly. Because the CO2 is under pressure to a liquefied state it must be handled with care. Do not drop, puncture or store your C02 cylinders near heat. Large concentrations of C02 in enclosed spaces can cause respiration failure, so always use in a well-ventilated area. However, there is only a small amount of CO2 dispensed with each shot - even if a full 9 oz cylinder dispensed there would not be enough CO2 to displace all the oxygen in the area.
