Siltronix 1011C 1011D 8950 to 6LB6 conversion tube set
For 1011C and 1011 D using 8950 power output tube. This conversion kit includes one 6LB6 final power amp tube, a ballast resistor and a 6GK6 driver. The 6LB6 is a 6.3 Volt filament version of the 8950. You will have to rewire the p.a. filament in series and add a ballast resistor (instructions included) rather than in parallel (12.6 volts) and add a jumper from pin 6 to pin 2 and from pin 11 to pin 3 to use the 6LB6 tube. After you rewire, insert the 6LB6 and reneutralize the p.a. and start talking!
Single premium 6LB6 (1) and a 6GK6 DRIVER tube. Test better than new on my tube tester and should work great in your ham rig. Put new life into a great radio like the Siltronix 1011C or 1011D with this new set and start working DX again!
