Hp 204D sine wave oscillator
This is another one of those that they created the word 'workhorse' to describe. Clean sine waves from -70dBm up to +10 or so, all the way from 10 Hz to over a Meg. Has a 'low distortion' switch on the back that helps when the frequency is REALLY low, but at 1KHz and 0dBm or so, distortion is over 50dB below the fundamental. This is the one that sits on the bench all day, cranking out sine waves that are plenty clean for about 99.9% of your testing. A 10dB per step attenuator and a pot allow you to dial in just the amplitude you need. Another rotary switch selects the output frequency range, and a huge dial fine-tunes the specific frequency intuitively and easily. Back panel switch for 110 or 220 operation. Accepts the standard 'IEC' power cord. Physical condition is OK-ish - there are a couple of cracks on the front panel that don't seem to keep anything from happening the way it's supposed to. Output range, attenuator, variable level and frequency have all been tested and are fine. It is used though, and you won't be confusing it with a new one.
