This is working function generator.
The battery back-up is dead so you can t store set-up and recall them later (if you turn it off). Because of this, it does not remember to turn on with the backlight and contrast correctly set. So you have to manually adjust those settings when first turned on; default settings are very dim. Replace the battery and the back light returns to the last powered on setting. I doubt if you can find one with the original battery module that does not need a new one
I primarily used it as a function generator. So I can t say I know for certain that everything else works. But I think it is 100% functional. I was able to get all of the outputs to do something that seemed appropriate.
You really do need the manual to get the full use from this, and a mainframe. Only the plug in is included, nothing else. It has option 03, I was never able to figure out what this is. Physical condition is excellent.
I copied the following off the web, do your own research though and verify that this info is correct and meets your personal needs. Again, you need a mainframe to make this work such as a TM5006.
Hint, when you turn it on the display will be barely legible. Press SPCL, then the up down buttons until LCD is in the window, press enter, arrow up until you are at 99 (its easy, don t give up!), now press enter again to turn on the back light. Still looks crappy, yes lcd displays have came a long ways since the 80 s (see photo). Time to complete step, 10 seconds if you ve done it before; 5 or 10 minutes if I didn t leave this hint.
